Take part, take care, and take charge of your mental health!
Dressed in different shades of blue, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) joined the nationwide observance of World Mental Health Day by organizing university-wide activities on October 10, 2025.
Spearheaded by the Counseling and Testing Center under the Office of Admissions, Counseling, and Testing Services (OACTS), the celebration aimed to raise awareness about mental health issues and encourage the University community to prioritize self-care and seek support when needed.
“Napaka-importante na mayroong isang buong buwan na naka-focus sa mga different programs and projects na ang concentration ay ma-strengthen ‘yung awareness ng mga tao kung gaano ka-importante ang ating mental health,” said OACTS Director Richard Briones in an interview.
Prior to the celebration, a social media campaign was launched through a display picture blast, along with a series of seminars that focused on fostering a meaningful journey toward wellness, purpose, and community.
On the day of the event, a university-wide awareness walk brought together college representatives, students, faculty, and staff to demonstrate solidarity for mental wellness.
Moreover, interactive booths organized by various student organizations provided engaging and approachable spaces where participants could learn more about mental health and self-care.
“Domino effect ‘yan eh. Kapag maayos ‘yung mental health ng isang tao maganda ‘yung magiging performance [niya]. They will become productive and highly motivated,” Briones added.
