Promoting the value and significance of tourism, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), through its College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), joined the observance of World Tourism Day on October 10, 2025.
With the theme “Hiyas ng Pilipinas: Celebrating Culture for a Sustainable Future,” the event featured vibrant presentations such as the festival street dance, float parade, cultural interpretative dance, and the grand festival queen showcase —all highlighting various Kapampangan and Filipino festivals celebrated across the country.
Aligned with the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s mission to advance sustainable and inclusive tourism, the activity emphasized how local culture fosters global appreciation and understanding.
Through this celebration, Pampanga State U continues to champion cultural appreciation and promote sustainable tourism among its students.
