“The reality behind all this is that we cannot do it alone. We need partners who share the same vision and mission for our universities.”
Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), through its Office for International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP), successfully hosted the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) International Staff Week 2025 from September 10 to 12, 2025.
During the welcome ceremony, University President Dr. Enrique G. Baking expressed his gratitude to ATU-Net for selecting the program proposal of OIPP Director Dr. Mildred M. Crisostomo, mentioning that the University’s efforts to gradually bring itself to the world are being realized one at a time.
“Being member institutions of ATU-Net, I know that we are all partners and collaborators here. Together, let us be one in helping our respective institutions by working towards a common goal,” Dr. Baking said.
The event aims to provide a platform for meaningful learning and networking, as well as cultural collaboration and exchange among participants from institutions in Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Bangladesh, together with representatives from various higher education institutions (HEIs) across the Philippines.
“We may not be able to offer the most innovative or jaw-dropping program, but I assure you that it is sincere and filled with genuine warmth and hospitality,” Dr. Crisostomo stated in her closing remarks.
“May this three-day program help establish friendships and collaborations which transcends boundaries and physical presence,” she concluded.
With the theme “Harmonizing International Efforts in the Region through Holistic Staff Building,” the program featured several panel discussions on key topics such as faculty and staff mobility and exchanges, research formulation, micro-credentials, and the importance of intercultural competence among staff members.
